Our Friends?

A 40 year old businesswoman is sitting in Starbucks innocently holding a meeting with a male colleague.

Suddenly the police burst in, drag her into a taxi and drive her off to jail, where she is strip searched, held in a cell incommunicado, interrogated, and, fearing for her life, forced to sign a confession.

Now you're doubtless thinking this took place in a dreadful, backward "enemy of democracy" nation, maybe Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, or some other member of the "axis of evil"?

If so, you'd be wrong; it happened in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, our good friends and allies in the War Against Terror (and whom we even bribe to buy our weapons), whose despotic feudal ruler king was recently feted with a state banquet by none other than the Queen of England!

Oh, and the woman's terrible crime? Being seen out in public with a man who was not a close male relative!
